Kindergarten

Madi started Kindergarten today! She did such a good job and was so excited to go! I, on the other hand, was scared to death for her! I started worrying about anything and everything that could go wrong! She did great though! When I asked her how it was she said, "BOOORING!" Well, that wasn't quite the response I was expecting! LOL. I didn't think I'd have such a hard time with her going, but I was so stinkin nervous for her! There are a lot of her little friends from our ward in her class, so I think that helps a little bit!

My cute girl before school!

She had to wear her guitar outfit for the first day:)

Standing in line, waiting to start her big day!
I'm a little relieved, now that the first day is done! But, I still have lots of fears. I guess it's just the mother in me:)

He's even better lookin' in person:)

Chris singing to me...hehe!
Don't worry, I'm still madly in love with Mike!
I was going to post the picture of me, Kerri, and Tina, but I look quite disgusting so I opted not to:)

Gettin rid of clutter...

This is kind of a random post! Since moving in our house, I've come across many boxes of "should I keep this or not items" that I've kept over the years. My question to all of you is, "What is important to keep, and what do you toss?" For example, I have a ton of cards that Mike and I have given to each other, cards other people have given to us, etc. I have Christmas cards people have sent to us since we've been married (I usually only keep ones with pictures!) Is this normal or a waste of space?
I also have quite the problem with keeping everything Madi and Luke have made in nursery, preschool, etc.
Tell me what you keep and what you toss!

9th Anniversary Weekend!

This past weekend Mike and I celebrated our 9th anniversary. We started out by eating at Texas de Brazil....let me just say, "YUM!" The food was awesome! Then we went and saw "O" at the Bellagio. It is amazing what these people can do...kinda freakish if ya ask me! Some of them I thought for sure were animals instead of humans! It was an amazing show! Afterwards we stayed the night at the Bellagio. My mom watched the kids for us at our house. They upgraded our room to a strip/lake view for our anniversary, and sent us up a box of chocolates. I'll save you any extra details...hehe!

Our view from our room! This past 9 years has flown by!
I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband!

Girls Weekend & 4th of July

A couple of weekends ago, I was able to go on a girls weekend with some of my wonderful friends. We drove up to St. George on Friday, ate lunch, and shopped. We went to Tai Pan (loved that store), Downeast, and a few other stores. Then drove up to Pine Valley to Michelle's parents' cabin. Their cabin (house) was beautiful, and so was the weather:) We played a game, and talked till around 3am. (did I mention Nyquil???LOL) It was so much fun catching up with everyone...I have some awesome friends. We slept in the next morning...(well tried to huh, Callie?) We all got up and got dressed and were getting ready....when what do you know....I FAINTED! Yes, I said fainted. I'm contributing it to not eating breakfast that morning and the altitude! Either that or I'm a complete FREAK! LOL....and No Girls, I'm NOT pregnant:) So after I scared them half to death, fixed my makeup, and popped a couple of tylenol(according to them I went head first), we went back down to St. George, had some Pizza Factory, and headed back home. Thank you to all of our wonderful hubbys who let us get away...It was a blast!

Madi's Dance Recital

Madi had her very first dance recital last Saturday at Artemus Ham Hall. She was so cute up there on stage.

Madi with her proud daddy, mommy, and little Lukester.

Madi and her friend Ashlyn. They did dance all year together. Madi loved going to dance knowing Ashlyn would be there, too.

Bubba giving his sissy a kiss.

My pretty little dancer. I was trying to upload the video but it was taking forever!
We are proud of our little Madi Rose:)

Russell Family Happenings....

I can never get my pictures to post in the right order, so in no particular order....

Madi finished soccer the end of May! We are so proud of her. She turned into a great little soccer player and is looking forward to playing again in the Fall. She is so shy most of the time so I was a bit worried, but she did awesome.

She also graduated from Miss Lesly's Preschool. She loved Miss Lesly and all of her friends at preschool. She is soooo ready for Kindergarten....and I'm so ready for her to go! She is a Miss Smarty pants in more than one way:)

Lukey's 3rd Birthday is today:) He is such a funny little momma's boy! I can't believe it has been 3 years since he was born....YIKES! It's flying by!

This past weekend we had a family birthday party for him. We invested in a big water slide that all of the kids loved. We will get tons of use out of this bad boy ALL summer long.

The most exciting news lately is that Lukester is FINALLY potty trained! He has pretty much done it on his own and so far (let's cross our fingers) has done really well! It will be soooo nice to have no kiddos in diapers:)

Our good friends, Mike and Kenna, and their cute little girls, Shara and Jane, came and visited us a couple of weekends ago! We loved having them as our first house guests. Our kids love playing with each other, and we love hanging out with them!

Jane, Madison, Shara, and Luke

This is Madi and her buddy, Joshua. They loved going to preschool together. Joshua's mom and I carpooled and they became little buddies. Lukey thought Joshua walked on water and loved picking him up from preschool more than his own sissy:)
